Memorial Day Weekend!

So I started to look at all my pictures from this weekend and now I know why it feels like we need another weekend. Friday night we went over and seen Jonathan's cousins for a little bit before heading over to the fireworks for old fashion days in fruitport. Tanner loved to see fireworks again! Saturday, we had a nice day at home we cooked out on the grill and got the summer stuff out for the shed. Sunday we went to an open house for my cousin Chase. It was good to see some family members that I have not seen an a long time! After the open house we went over to Robin's house for some more fun. Tanner was happy that he got to see the cows, kittens and ride a pig again. And then there was Monday. We started off by going to the parade in Caledonia with family and then headed out to Charlotte for a Cook Out with my family! What a long weekend! Here is a few of the picture from our crazy weekend!

#53 Go to The 19th Catwalk

As silly as this one seems it is special to us and we do not go there as much as we should. This is where Jonathan asked me to marry him on my 20th birthday. Wow it has been six years already!

It has been 1 year!

Wow! It is hard to think about all of the stuff that has happened this past year. Although the one thing that is not hard to forget it that a year ago tonight a bullet came in our living room and shot Jonathan in the back of his leg. Everything with his leg has been settled in the last year but the memory of the event is still so fresh on our minds. Also, today was Uncle Ed's memorial service. What a day! Hope tomorrow will be better.

As Jonathan said earlier today time does not heal all wounds and we hope time will heal this one and the memory of this horrible night!

Tanner's Last Day of School

Today was Tanner's lat day of preschool for this year. Wow how this year has gone by so fast! It was Beach Day and he did enjoy getting up this morning and putting on shorts, t-shirt and flip flops. I wish he would slow down and be my baby for a little longer but then again I think that this is every parents wish. My Mom is on vacation this week so after Tanner got out of school we went to the Meijer Gardens! We had a blast, Tanner sailed across the Great Lakes, we on a hunt for fossil and played in a tree house. Today was just a fun day.

#27 a trip to the zoo

Well, I knew that this would be an easy goal but two in one weekend go us.

John Ball Zoo

Toledo Zoo

Wow, what a weekend!

Well, this weekend was busy but we seen it coming. Tanner had soccer on Saturday morning and played a little bit. After his game we went to the John Ball Zoo with Grandma Dyanna. Once, again we have a zoo membership so that will be fun again this summer. Tanner enjoyed going anytime that he wanted to last summer so I'm sure that we will have even more fun this year. Sunday was a fun day we took a day trip down to the Toledo Zoo. The fun part to that is we all got in free with the membership! Yippee for free zoo trips! Although the one thing that I'm sure that we could have all done without was seeing the polar bear poop in the water. In the words of Tanner "that is gross". After this next week it looks like life slows down a little, which will be different but good!

First Update

Alright, here it goes the first update! This week has seemed a little crazy Monday we did a normal day Tanner had Dance in the morning and then soccer at night. Although he did not play in the game not sure if it was because he was not feel well yet or just really does not like soccer. But, he did play after the game was done with us. Tanner stayed home from school again on Tuesday. We have had a fun week with having family and friends over. Chelsea and Zach have been over a couple of days this week and soon will me moving close to us. Which I can't wait for, this is going to be great to build this relationship with my sister. We did have Thursday fun night with Robin and Derek and watched the last Bone's and Grey's Anatomy's of the season. We did have some bad news yesterday... Jonathan's Uncle Ed passed away on Thursday afternoon it looks like we might have a small service on Saturday. We pray that everyone has the strength to get though this rough time. Along with soccer on Saturday, and a trip to the zoo on Sunday it looks like it could be a busy weekend!
